From a concerned civilian's point of view, I wish to add to what you know to well from your experience in the Trump 1.0 administration: (a) Trump always lies, (b) Trump's threats to use unlawful means to enrich himself or his corporate or personal supporters should always be taken seriously, (c) Trump hates our NATO alliance, and (d) Greenland is known to be rich in natural resources (ie rare earth minerals), and (e) the US already has a long-standing military base in Greenland for purposes of national security.

Miles, it must be sooooooooo f**king frustrating to keep saying these things and the dems do NADA.... politicians have big mouths but self-serving hands.... i know sooooo many dems like to believe the dem politicians are totally focused on doing things for us...but they are just good at reading the room and saying the things that motivate us (healthcare/poverty/affordable childcare/a living wage etc... they will get elected on those things, then they can get into accumulating some REAL wealth while on the congressional gravytrain.
i have spent the time between christmas and now, emailing my reps as well as schumer and jeffries, and for all the rest i have printed letters and mailed them (yes with some cute stamps about manatees, and also skateboarding) to their DC office address (i also followed up the emails to my senate and house reps +schumer +jeffries with printed letters and mailed those).
i am sick and tired of very 'wordy' statements from their respective ivory towers...i mean patty murray uses the word 'charlatan' to describe them..... why not use words like 'putin-style-dictator trump, and putin-style-rubber-stamp-congress, and putin-style-billionaire-oligarchs?????? none of them can be too direct because they want to 'play nice and be old-fashioned/non-existent bi-partisan. bi partisanship is DEAD. we are living in a fascist america now.
i am also sending letters to bernie, aoc, jasmine, gavin and a few others who i believe will actually have the spine to stand up and say what needs to be said (i even wrote to mtg aksing her to be more bold and not fear the repulsive vengeance of the dictator).

Reflecting on the campaign for presidency - if we would have known any of what is happening - Trump would not have won. We are not a country that wants to use our military routinely to take others property and to break international laws. We are not hateful, greedy, or criminal. We do not believe that ICE should arrest all immigrants nor should we bomb any of the countries we have. Our richest have been greedy and are ruining the world.
