Last week, when questioned about the approximately $4 billion the Trump family (including him) has made since January 20, 2025, especially regarding his numerous “timely” stock trades this year, he said, “Nobody cares, and I’m allowed to do it.” So, yes, he’ll get away with requiring every federal employee to sign a lifetime Non Disclosure Agreement.
It is clear that Trump wants to operate the United States as if it is his family firm by using other peoples money, by deceit or theft, with no accountability to whatever federal rule of law is left to us. There is some vague language in this proposed NDA that has no legal definition. Thus, this vague language creates a basis for legal disputes. Moreover, if the NDA has no additional requirements to the existing federal government to employee agreements, then why have them at all? (Don't sign it, federal employees!) As Miles pointed out, Trump is waxing nostalgic to his old Trump Tower days of intimidating people with NDAs to protect himself from being outed as a criminal in his current role as a President just as he did as a private citizen.
