I could be wrong, but I feel that best way to counter their maga bullshit is to ignore it and push the news story about his abusing children. He never should have been nominated for president. His inappropriate comments about his daughter were/are gross imo.

I’m sure you’ve noticed that his middle finger is usually prominent- even when shaking hands, I’ve always found it odd that when shaking hands with middle finger out he then pulls that person’s hand/arm to him. (Most people). Now that we’ve heard & read what we have…….always ready w the middle finger. Not enough words in my vocabulary to explain my mountain of feelings.
Countering Trump’s BS is one great method, but to truly unseat MAGA, I believe we’re going to need a protracted General Strike!
Only when the economy craters will change come. Too many are making big bucks, and unless they feel pain, and the equity markets tank, we’ll just be slowly descending into authoritarianism.
Even if they fail this time around, these guys are as ruthless as they are relentless and will continue to destroy our nation until their coup is complete. And they’ll be willing to tear the nation down so they can rebuild a country in Heritage’s image; if need be! IMHO…:)
I wish that could happen here and be successful like it has been in other countries, but I think it would have to be something other than a "skip work" day since too many people are dependent on their jobs and fear losing them. We have seen what happens when corrupt billionaires stand together.
I have read that 3.5% of the population actively disapproving of their government is the magic number needed to overturn a dictatorship. Not just "disapprove" of their governments' actions, but be willing to make it their primary focus. That would be about 6 million people in this country so I wonder if it would require more people because haven't millions already been protesting? Or, as you suggest, it needs to go on for weeks or longer. I wonder how many of us older folks it would take. Arresting little old ladies isn't good optics. Surely there are more than 6 million of us ready to put up the good fight. Boycotting the Kennedy Center by artists and patrons certainly had an effect.
I am just asking questions here. I fear I lack the imagination and understanding of the markets to make tenable suggestions.

The abuse of minor children by Trump, Epstein, and their friends is multiplied thousands of times by their kidnapping of children, women, and others and placing them in the the most cruelest of detention centers, such as the Dilley Detention Facility Jim Acosta visited this week. Closing US AID, cutting funding for health care, SNAP, education, environmental protections, shooting Venezuelans in fishing boats, etc. The list goes on and on. The platform of the Republican Party is pure evil and the most abject cruelty and corruption. Any of those in the Senate and House who continue to support Trump also support his agenda of pure evil and abject cruelty and are blind to all the corruption. Those on our side who live in their states and districts need to call them out on this.
