Incredibly powerful. I would love to share this with his voters and see how they respond. It cuts through the noise, powerfully.

i've been using Miles' articles as part of my magamom reprogramming project. her primary response has been ashamed silence. It's pretty amazing that she's even listening at all! For 10 years we had to simply agree not to discuss politics or else have brutal arguments. The recent prevalence of commentary re fascists, Nazis and concentration camps has helped, as has her early Alzheimer's which seems to be eroding the Faux Noose programming. Silver linings... 🤷🏻‍♀️🤞

Definitely. Our Nation is being led by a Gestapo and his minions who have personal interests in foreign countries. As a result they are focused on protecting their interests while destroying the lives of American soldiers and their families

When is MAGA, Congress and the balance of the USA going to finally figure out that trump, no matter what he says, is not working for us, but against the American people. He is the king of cruelty. How much more proof do we need that he is a Russian asset.

igor isa🤘⚧️'s avatar

yup, 100% pootin puppet russian asset. but the funny thing is, IDK if drümpf knows that he's a russian asshat 🧐🤬🤣‼️

He and his family are also profiting enormously off this chaos. Look what happened to the markets yesterday. All of us our hurting and our service members are at great risk.

At the moment, I would say that our public virtue is questionable. We keep confirming incompetent, Trump-worshipping individuals to run our country. We have SCOTUS enabling the moral depravity by ruling that DJT can do no wrong related to decisions made while in office, 40% of Americans approving of this non-war that is further ruining our economy and killing innocents, and I could go on. Will we see public virtue on 3/28/2026 in sufficient numbers to overshadow all of the depravity? It's a question that will only be answered in hindsight.

our country is completely stained a disgusting toxic orange color.

the world sees it. intelligent people in our country see it.

the putin-style-billionaire-oligarchs and OILigarchs love it because it increases their accumulation of green dollars.

the establishment old fart AIPAC serving democrat politicians pretend to hate it, but they too prefer to focus on their accumulation of green dollars.

anyone who votes for the establishment politicians, must own the fact that they are also OK with the orange stain (while clutching their pearls and wallets) as they count their green dollars.

the people who LOVE everything about the TOXIC ORANGE STAIN OF FECAL MATTER, are the people who voted for putin-style-dictator trump and the putin-style-rubber-stamp-repugnican-congress….. well they can all rot in hell.

as with the germans in nazi germany - the trump-cult will only open their eyes when their world shatters around their feet (their feet - not their neighbors feet or anyone else). and i really don't care enough about them to bother to lend a hand. THEY CREATED THIS DISASTER, AND THEY MUST OWN IT......AND IF YOU THINK BEING NICE TO THEM IS STILL OK, THEN YOU CAN OWN IT TOO....

This is something that I keep saying, and no one likes it. The fact that we elected DJT once could be concerning, but overlooked as a temporary lapse of judgement. We do not get a pass for making the same grievous error a second time. We did this. We have to own it to fix it.

a hard comment to make...but i am happy you made it and of your honesty about the way forward :)

How will the Democrats of 2026 and 2028 be ANY DIFFERENT from the Democrats of 2016, 2020, 2024??? The Independent and young voters will soon see right through the BS and vague ‘1 size fits all’ democrat policies, and they will turn around and vote anti democrat AGAIN. the young and independents want to see a CHANGE in the way our government runs and that it will accept input from 'we the people'....not just money. the dem politicians just want to return to the same old way they've always done things.

however, most importantly, the democrats fail to KEEP IN MIND, TRUMP AND HIS RADICAL VIEWS OF HOW TO RUN GOVERNMENT AND (HIS LIES) ABOUT DOING THINGS FOR THE BENEFIT OF HARD WORKING AMERICANS, IS WHAT PEOPLE LIKED AND VOTED FOR (no matter how misguided they were and how lobotomized they became by drinking the trump koolaid)....

Seriously, the ‘same old-same old’ democratic 'gifting to the people in order to BUY their votes' will just ensure we'll get another trump in the future.....

i fully understand that the younger people want things to change...anyone can see that they don't 'do' cable tv bundles of policies and promises from the dysfunctional 2 party system, they pick and choose what they like and believe in app by app... EVEN THE STARBUCKS GENERATION WANTS TO PICK AND CHOOSE AND NOT ACCEPT 'NORMAL 1 SIZE-FITS-ALL'...... so, to me, the fault lies with the politicians, and their desire to keep the voters out of the decision making process, and particularly how the politicians choose to spend 'our' taxpayer $.....

MEANWHILE....newsweek reports that even more repugnicans identify as maga than before….2 thirds…this is not showing that the divide between americans is getting better…..and all those ppl who nauseatingly believe that welcoming and being friendly to magats will ‘un-lobotomize them’ are being proven wrong…time and time again!!!!

dem politicians just want to ‘wait for the midterms’, and the centrist political class of dems think that is a good idea…..

none of them considering the fact that young and independent voters will get pissed off, once again, by the dem politicians inability to ‘read the room’…and of course none of these dems believe that the putin-style-dictator trump and his putin-style-rubber-stamp-congress will actually pull off a putin-style-election-rigging….

Yes, the people in our country have let it fall or propelled it into disgrace. The “let it” group is finally opening its eyes. The propelled group is a hopeless matter. Stand up for what is just and right. Hope to see you Saturday at the protests, sign in hand, hopes in heart…-from an old white lady.

I think all of our politicians have their hands on the shovel. They have been hired to work together and within the framework of their oath but they become a part of the fraternity and get corrupted. I see them protecting each other and the corruption - they knew there was an insurrection and that Trump was a criminal. I often wondered why Cheney didn't require all of Congress to retake their oaths. The behavior of all of the cabinet, SCOTUS, the judges and our worthless politicians has been seen by the world and we have lost a lot of esteem as well as allies, trading partners, currency strength and our commitment to democracy is questioned. Cruz, Graham, Grassley, Hawley, Cornyn, Jordan, McConnell are the worst - and they all voted for the destruction of the country with the SAVE act and all of Trump's out of control spending. Did you hear Navarro - not much tariff money to cover any of these outrageous military, detention, ICE, MARS, moon, the $15m for Vought's security, and remodels. The world notices we have an uncontrolled spender and ego maniac in charge with a corrupt following- all greedy. Our former EU allies, Canada, GB, Switzerland, and Greece have all insulted Trump - what doesn't our greedy Congress see? I expected more from the newbies. Notice how many are quitting in disgust - MTG too. BTW - she did note how well her investments in detention and Palantir where doing - inside information and greed here. Corruption rules - and Cruz, Rubio and many were once honorable.

GREED!

I agree it's vile, but I question your premise that we can 'choose' our national character. A full third of our fellow citizens slavishly follow and approve of anything Trump does. They don't care if their lives are destroyed, their children die in war or epidemic, or if the country they purport to love is dragged down as a third-world banana republic. All they ever want is more of the dopamine hits they got early in Trump I when he threatened violence against his (their) enemies. They celebrate ignorance and vice. They are of no value to themselves or anyone else.

There is no doubt. Our national character is very poor. We long since stopped objecting with "that's not who we are". It is exactly, in aggregate, who we are.

It amazes me that stories like yours, like the stories about John McCain and Robert Mueller, the truth about Mueller's post investigation report, January 6th and more have not brought more Americans to the position that not only is Trump the wrong person for the presidency but that he is a nightmare for the country.

I would love to March on the 28th but with my disability and due to the fact that my husband is in the hospital and unable to take me I won't be able to. I'm quite confident that Trump does not reflect my character.

Trump's attitude toward and comments about McCain, 'I prefer people who didn't get shot down" hardened my attitude also.

Yes, the character of our nation is definitely in doubt. The fact that, depending on the poll, as many as 40% of our citizens still support this totally inhumane child abuser and grifter says it all.

I am 73 years-old. I remember the days of the folks in the Hill arguing like crazy while in the chamber then going out for drinks and cigars afterward. I remember both parties actually working together. I remember a time when civility and empathy were considered virtues.

The would-be king is a symptom of a much larger problem, many problems actually. He is the embodiment of a society that has been both too lazy and too comfortable to confront our demons. We idolize money more than taking care of each other. We have accepted the hierarchy that has been imposed upon us. We have never truly come to grips with our racist and misogynistic tendencies.

I blame Ronald Reagan for allowing so much money into politics and I blame the Supreme Court for being complicit. None of this would have happened, however, if we, the electorate, had done our homework.

We are at a crossroads now, a time of reckoning. If we don’t choose each other and the rights of ALL people to live decent lives if they work hard, our goose is cooked.

I am gobsmacked by the fecklessness of Congress, their total deliberate impotence. At the root of it? Money. This will be our downfall. We have already lost our democracy by at least half according to unbiased experts, faster even than other countries like Hungary. What is it going to take for our leaders to wake up? Nuking Iran?

I will definitely be at the No Kings rally on Saturday. I have attended them all and some events in between. I even stood by myself on a busy street corner for three hours on a Saturday with a NO WAR sign. Wake up, people! We are circling the drain. 💪🏻💪🏾✊🏼✊🏾

seeing your comment made my day!!!! thank you.

we are in desperate times and we desperately need to see others join you in your street protest.

i have had a similar experience.

i ask people to email/vmail our useless dem reps in the house and senate - because if we are silent, those useless dem reps think we agree with their centrist/conformist/establishment vague 'clutch your pearls and wallets' views and lack of substantive action.

those who are silent are complicit.

RESIST. VIVA LA RESISTENCIA. VIVE LA RESISTANCE. SAMUD.
