I think all of our politicians have their hands on the shovel. They have been hired to work together and within the framework of their oath but they become a part of the fraternity and get corrupted. I agree it's vile, but I question your premise that we can 'choose' our national character. A full third of our fellow citizens slavishly follow and approve of anything Trump does.
