This order has Stephen Miller’s (and Russell Vought’s) grimy fingerprints all over it.

Those grimy fingers will get will dirtier when they are holding onto bars.

THANKS, Miles. This is clearly a key issue that only someone very VERY familiar with the workings of Civil Service would have been able to spot. Especially that it was written clearly to avoid the application of the Administrative Procedures Act, on which many of the cases brought to court -- successfully -- have depended.

Miller & Vought.. just two of the 4-Horsemen of the Apocalypse…

"And if it’s not challenged in the courts, it will make it easier for Trump to weaponize almost every agency under his purview." since you said this and said it is like 4000 people...................THIS HAS TO GET CHALLANGED IN FEDERAL COURT- not Trumps bribed up and threatened judges..............but OUR JUDGES who still believe in and want our Democracy saved....................

Thanks for this information Miles and it has to be challenged and stopped in courts.

Sorry, but Congress wrote the law that at least arguably gives Trump the power to make this change.

Congress knew it was possible but did nothing about it

My best guess is the Democrats when in the majority wrote it assuming one of the "good guys" i.e. a Democrat would always be in the White House. They didn't think of the possibility that a psychopath gangster might be elected President, and the Iron Law of Unforeseen Consequences has come down in full force.

Thank you for being on top of this

Here is another perspective: Trump ruins the US economy with his ilegal tariffs and unlawful Iranian war and other international excursions. As people in the middle class (accounts for most of the federal workplace) are experiencing great affordability challenges, the Trump regime makes these federal employees politically fireable when the United States is losing jobs in the private sector. 🙄 This is the hallmark of Trump and his evil henchmen, who slither behind the scenes, unaccountable to only supplying Trump's malignant narcissim. It is a form of political/economic extortion to do future illegal acts as an employee in exchange for a paycheck.

This action stinks to high heaven of Miller's doing, especially since at this point in time, I really don't think DJT has the mental capacity to undermine the entire government on such a whim. Other than the ability to fire governmental staff with equally incompetent individuals like his cabinet, not sure what it will do save undermine a good portion of key positions for what the "slush" fund would have done. An end run???

This guy never stops with his blatantly illegal actions... it's like his whole purpose for being president!! Have never seen an elected official who doesn't want to govern. I'm sure there will be lawsuits against this!

The man in the White House breaks rules everyday like people brush their teeth. And yes with all those sycophants you can bet "HE" can get things to "slide" through when the rest of the world thinks he can't. This is truly Bullshit wrapped with I BIG RED TIE!

You had me at hello, but to sue, you need standing. Who outside of the workers can sue?

Secondly, if it’s the same case as firing the IG’s and granting DOGE illegal access to our government records—then I wouldn’t hold my breath!

SCOTUS is allowing Trump to take a sledgehammer to the Constitution without ruling on the merits of these cases. Trump may be the “bull in the China shop,” but SCOTUS, Heritage and The Federalist Society are doing all the damage.

And from what I understand, Robert’s recently stated that Heritage has fulfilled over a thousand of the two thousand permanent changes in government that they wanted to achieve (Project 2025).

Bottom line, they are laying land mines everywhere and even if we take back the Executive, the next president may be completely neutered!

Hopefully all of those people will be without jobs in 2028.

Coercion and ruling by EO. Congress is letting it happen with glee.

I'm not certain how many times, in the last 500 days, I've said “Fear is the mind-killer.” It is succeeding with Trump and his cronies attacks and, sadly, many Americans are so tired and afraid of of the constant barrage of garbage that they are shutting down.

We must stay defiant.
