WOW!! At the very least it should demand Gabbard's resignation but I also think Trump's actions give serious implications for impeachment or the invocation of the 25th Amendment. I sure hope your post gets VERY WIDE dissemination!!!

Thank you, William, but I think it might be better to go with article 2, section 4. After all of the unconstitutional actions of this president, there’s no reason why he couldn’t be charged with “treason, bribery, high crimes and misdemeanors“ and then get all of his regime ousted (imho)

She needs to be investigated and possibly be charged with espionage and treason. IANAL but if it can be shown she was, would Trump be able to pardon her?

Sad thing is that on all the questions that should be asked the answer is:

YES, drump knew and YES drump ordered it and YES drump plans to cancel the midterms and YES drump lied again.

Sad thing is that jeffries en schumer will do nothing at all.

OpenSecrets.org: "While Gabbard has military experience, she does not have a background in intelligence, with her most relevant experience being two years on the House Homeland Security Committee." I have zero background in intelligence, and her actions sound like she doesn't know what she is doing. Loyalty to Dear Leader is the only qualification.

I'm glad Miles and his team are digging into all of this, so I don't have to. It's good to document and interpret it all, for future prosecutions and whatnot. So I'm glad this is done.

But I'm becoming a lot more tactical in my thinking about all things Trump. Adding fuel to this Bonfire Of The Vanities is not really making it burn hotter for me. I can look at this as a new flavor of more of the same. So what I'm most interest in is finding what pressure can be applied to Trump that gets his attention and actually puts sand in his gears. This effort is good and necessary, but it's 'spotlights on the skittering roaches'. It's reactionary. We're getting better at that, we no longer go through such protracted periods of self-limiting pearl-clutching and performative outrage. But I propose something new: take the fight to him in addition to all of this responding we're doing.

A new development I've seen is a conference of DAs from around the country meeting in DC to plan prosecutions against the regime. This is big, because it's exactly what I'm talking about. We've already got enough lawless bullshit to convict Regime members to prison for life, we should keep collecting more, but it's time we do something with the evidence we've got.

Aside from the legalisms, we need to probe for weaknesses in the regime's carapace and exploit them. Squeeze them where it hurts. Internet sleuths have been solving cold cases for decades. Video analysis technologies are available that could put names and faces to the ICE street thugs and their commanders. Do those shits just spring forth like the newborn Venus on the half-shell? No, find them, ask their families how proud they are of Daddy beating and killing people. There may be some schools and churches who would be willing to call them out and distance themselves.

There's plenty more, but I'll leave that for another time.

The reports I heard were that original election records were seized, not copies.

Can the election records now be altered??

Robot Bender's avatar

The chain of custody had been broken. They're useless now. They can try to make the case that he won, but whatever he claims to "find" will be ineligible as evidence.

Michelle Foster's avatar

Not for nothing, they counted, recounted, and recounted again previously to confirm an accurate vote tally!

Michelle Foster's avatar

And the count, and both recounts were done under a REPUBLICAN SECRETARY OF STATE!

You were brilliant last night on MS NOW, Miles, explaining this so clearly.

Thank you for all you do!!

Trump commits impeachable crimes every single day. Gabbard is a disgrace to the office she holds and is likely guilty as charged of everything you just laid out and probably some that you know but can’t say based on your experience.

You said it: "This is dictator-level stuff . . ." and we better get used to it, because Trump has made it very clear that he and his handlers are taking over. He owns Congress, the Supreme Court, and the military. What else does he need? The window dressing of democracy is falling away fast.

Miles, how do you manage to be simultaneously so cynical and so optimistic? It is truly a paradox, and I truly appreciate you and the defiance community. gives me real hope on a daily basis, when otherwise hope feels so scarce ❤️‍🔥💙❤️‍🔥🙏🏻❤️‍🔥🙏🏻❤️‍🔥💙❤️‍🔥

Glad you’re continuing to bring light to this new debacle of Trump’s…hoping Mark Warner can facilitate an investigation.

The answers to two questions seem obvious to me:

“Did Trump personally order or influence a federal search of a state election office?” Of course he did. There is no other reason to investigate Fulton County.

“Did he do it for partisan political purposes or national security purposes?” This was answered here: “There should be nothing wrong with the fact that they went in, got ballots from a while ago, and they’re gonna look at ‘em. And now they’re gonna find out the true winner.”

The deck will be stacked in his favor, no matter the outcome; he has fed his rabid base more red meat and, once again, fed one of his most prolific lies.

You are the only person from Trump’s former administration speaking truth to power and actively working to defy the administration’s criminality. Yes, there are others reporting. But your inside knowledge offers a higher, inside level, of authority. Thank you.

Come on, Miles, you know that Trump constantly lies. I guess both Trump and Gabbard are liars. Why the hell should they "recount" ballots? Trump knows he lost, everyone knows he lost, he's just a bigly baby that's causing more chaos. It's time to seriously look into impeachment or into the 25th Amendment. Now, if we could get rid of Trump's entire cabinet would be such a blessing. Maybe this would help: The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors.

Nixon did it under the cover of darkness; Trump is doing it in broad daylight.
