Thank you Miles, for going all in on this. No more “I was just following orders.” Nuremberg quashed that, or so we thought. I’m the mother of a JAG. That grounding principle was taught on his first day of Naval Justice School.
Three more illegal strikes on boats in the Pacific on Monday killed eight more people. Someone (Adm. Bradley) is not getting the message. Lower-ranking personnel also appear to have missed it as well.
It appears Adm Bradley is going to find out the hard way along with the soldier pulling the trigger. But if that's what it takes so be it. A very sad situation.
Miles, you are 100% freaking awesome. Anyone who supports our troops the way you are doing has MY complete support. Please recharge and keep yourself healthy and your family relationships strong. We have your back while you do it.
Our great service members need our support, particularly during these perilous times. Thrilled that the effort to do so has been featured on national news media; efforts such as this need to be brought into the view of more Americans.
The illegality of the Trump regime must be countered with strong actions such as this and others taken by Defiance.org. Well done, team Defiance, proud to stand with you.
Since the military unit that actually fired the rocket in the second strike on survivors in the September 2nd small boat attack in the Caribbean is reported to be Seal Team 6, wouldn't it make sense to place a billboard outside their homebase at the Naval Air Station Oceana Dam Neck Annex in Virginia Beach, Virginia? Also, most of the ships in the Caribbean task force are homeported at Naval Operating Base, Norfolk, Virginia. Billboards outside its several entrances might be a good idea to remind families to encourage families not to let their deployed loved ones become murderers and war criminals.
Glad to see you guys are doing what we did in the GI Antiwar Movement "back in the day." As a veteran who spent my last year in the Navy dealing with the knowledge that the (alleged) Tonkin Gulf (non) Incident was a lie from beginning to end (which was later proven with the release of the Pentagon Papers and then in 2006 an NSA researcher proved that the "lights in the water" that night were the reflection of the moon through the clouds and the lightning from the storms in all quadrants off the enormous school of flying fish that annually crosses the Gulf of Tonkin in the first week of May), it was a very isolating time - doing things I no longer believed, and having to get around stuff that 20 year old me was guessing about whether it was a crime or not.
When we at the Oleo Strut coffeehouse got lawyers for resisters at Fort Hood, we didn't win every fight - in fact all were "lost" on the initial round, though most were reversed on appeal other than the convictions of the Fort Hood 43 (43 black combat veterans who refused as a group to get on the plane and go to Chicago to beat demonstrators at the 1968 Democratic Convention, all of whom got Dishonorable Discharges and 20 years). Having the resisters represented by top tier legal talent scared the dumbasses running the court martials. We also got publicity for the cases, which is the one thing the other side definitely doesn't want.
Another good thing you might consider is a GI newspaper, full of the truth and information on what is happening. We have "Vietnam GI," which had a vet staff and regularly got 25,000 copies out throughout the military once a month. We got lots of good feedback from GIs for this.
You don't have to reinvent the wheel to do what needs to be done to support the GIs. We already did that 60 years ago.
Miles and team, as the fascist takeover tries to ramp up every day, your hard work brings us hope. Get rest, and all of us should rest too. Like you said, 2026 will need our energy. Happy holidays!
Because you brought up the absolute fact that the US military must never carry out an illegal order, I have a question. Long ago, in my international law course, I learned that the blockade of a country is a declaration of war. Is this still the case? (Or am I misremembering this principle?)
The People cannot THANK YOU enough for this ACTION to help aid our beloved members in our respected military. Thank you for stepping up! That’s what the RESISTANCE does! WE take ACTION. I will support this effort any way I can. Ty Sir and God Speed. 😊👍
WOW!!!!!!!! :-D I'm THRILLED to see this billboard!! Wow Miles, YOU are fantastic!!!! I can't thank you enough for BEING YOU!!! :-D God, I appreciate you SO much!!!!!!!!!! <3 : )

Ditto!!!
Thank you for supporting our service members.
So happy you are doing this and that NBC reported it. My WWII veteran dad would be very pleased.
Mine too Sara! 💙💝❤️🩹💜

One addition - be safe.
Thank you Miles … this type of wo4k is why I joined joined defiance.org.
Actions that make a difference; have impact.

Excellent comments! Thank you for your service then, and now TC in LA! 💙💝

Thank you, Miles. I’m sharing this the grandmother of a service member.

It is crazy.
Crazy that soldiers who respect their oath and who refuse to obey illegal orders need to lawyer-up against the nitwits giving the illegal orders.
This drump regime can't end soon enough.
