I live in MN. I spent 40 years of my career working in Minneapolis. These thugs are everywhere. Small towns all over the state. MN like so many states rely on these legal immigrants for so many things. Please contribute to ACLU and to the Immigration Law Center as well as Legal Aid of MN. I ear this is insanity is now happening in Maine and will go to Colorado. MN is so traumatized. We are united in our strength.

Thanks Deborah - I think it is needed everywhere and trust ACLU to distribute it where it is needed the most. As a Minnesotan I am horrified that several children ages 5 to 10 have actually been handcuffed. I also heard that a 2 year old was hastily taken and put on a plane - I can't verify this but at this point I believe it. There are a few videos of ICE placing their feet on peaceful protesters heads after they shoved them into snow banks or on the ground, and spray pepper spray into their eyes causing one person permanent blindness.
The anarchy of ICE is pretty brutal. Our police forces are amazing doing what they can to protect us.

Its beginning to feel like we have our own USA cartels now, with Bondi's extortionist letter to Minnesota; Trump's tariffs that impact our food, etc. costs; this months murders and shootings in Minnesota; and our government's gaslighting of every assualt they commit on our Bill of Rights. None of Trump's actions and direction have ever been about addressing problems of immigration or drugs but rather about theft of funds from agencies that support and help our citizenry and people in other countries. Even funds from his invasion and theft of Venezuela have not been deposited in our country - which is probably a good thing because all his actions, including his attempts with Greenland, are all done in our name! This is all cartel and authoritarian behavior.
I'm a Canadian but I share lots of posts about what is happening so people here know exactly what is happening in the US. I also went out on my balcony the other night in the freezing cold to light a candle for Alex as the people in Minnesota were doing.

Miles, I came across this paragraph while reading "The Body Keeps the Score" by Bessel van der Kolk MD. The idea of a massive number of voices joined by song could, I hope, bring a cohesiveness to our protests, nation- wide. It might also provide an incentive for those not sure what to do at a protest and uncomfortable with constant whistle blowing and uncoordinated action. I am passing this to a number of my substack podcasters in hopes that this idea is sound and that they might take it up.

I'm Anti-Fascist so I guess I'm antifa. I'm for our government providing services for us like roads, healthcare and protections from those who want to take away our freedoms and abuse our free enterprise system so I guess that also makes me a radical left lunatic. I apologize to all my fellow Amerucans for taking our freedoms for granted and not knowing my history and searching out the truth when making my voting decisions. I didn't vote for trump but many people like me did, partly, I believe because they were just not paying attention, not funding the real facts, and not knowing our history.
NOW we all know corporate media is run by the wealthy elite who want us to remain small and poor any buying their lies. They have full control of the republicans, THAT is now crystal clear.
But if I were paying attention I would have know that looking at what started with Ronald Reagan. NOW I'm informed, NOW I'm paying attention, NOW I'm finding truth and voting accordingly.
