Despicable. Great reporting Miles. And hey, all of this has taken people's minds off the Epstein files. I'm sure he loves that. What a train wreck. Didn't he also say at one time Drug Traffickers should get the death penalty?! That is unless you're rich or a President of a Country. They all need to go. ASAP.
This is the first mention I've seen that cocaine was on board. Even with that, you don’t bomb the boat, you capture it and try to learn about the levels above them. But that doesn't have the same optics as blowing something up. This easier approach dehumanizes the occupants, making it like a video game.
Thank you so much Defiance News…… as a person of the Canadian public, we wondered why he was even approved from the beginning. And it’s taken the US’ reputation down in the eye’s of the world.
I thought earlier reports had them In the water, clinging to debris (and for their lives). Here it says that they were allegedly sweeping up cocaine. Not that it matters.
Their boat was gone and they were floating in the middle of the Caribbean Sea. Why would they be "sweeping up cocaine?" They were trying to survive at that point.
This makes me think Trump’s hired Proud Boys, Three Percenters and other lowlife supporters of his to be ICE enforcers. It would also be no surprise if he waived the physical requirements required for the position.
Well tRump finally got his wish. He gets to blow things up like he's in some video game. He thinks it makes him look strong. But no. It makes him look like the scared sniveling little weak man that he is.
Kill (or kidnap) first, spin it later. They all believe they are invulnerable and, until someone is held accountable, this will keep happening. At some point they will murder people on American soil...maybe "on 5th Avenue"...because they can.
Thanks for this explanation of events which was precise and without hyperbole or insults (except the part about stupid marine creatures!). Two military and civilian legal points that I’d like more commentary on: why sink the boats at all when the evidence to “justify” the strike is on board; and, why drop ordinance from the air rather than stopping the boat by threat of a missile strike until a military vessel can reach the area to arrest those on board and confiscate the illegal cargo?
Well…..I certainly am surprised ,maybe a little at what will be the excuse from Bradley.Again More Disappointed .It has felt like for months parties in wrong doing, gather, decide a lil trial, questions, some heat come your way'wait it Out,The Pardon Will Be There! And it certainly makes me question the leadership role of Admiral Bradley himself. The story just keeps changing.Their excuse(LIE) seems to be tell the American people we are at war with…..whoever! We must have to be rid of them all!
The even bigger problem is that these boats weren’t carrying contraband, but fish. Kegseth is personally responsible for the illegal murders of fishermen. One of the boats Kegseth bombed was a Colombian fishing boat, and only one of the 5 men onboard the boat. The Americans who rescued the survivor never arrested him, instead, they sent him back to Colombia. Colombia’s President, Gustavo Petro, is understandably angry with the United States for illegally bombing a Colombian fishing boat and killing four of the five crew members in international waters. Kegseth’s murders violated both the international laws of war and the Uniform Code of Military Justice, as the murders were clearly carried out by illegal orders.
The boats in question likely didn’t have fuel capacity to get to the United States. Kegseth and Trump likely ordered the boat bombings because Trump has a mistaken idea that most illegal fentanyl shipments come to the United States from Venezuela. Mexican drug cartels smuggle precursor chemicals from China to Mexico, where the cartels manufacture fentanyl. American citizens smuggle the drug into the United States. This maladministration loves to blame migrants for smuggling, but actually most of the smuggling and drug seizures come from American citizens at United States ports of entry. I hope Trump doesn’t use this as a pretext for declaring war on Mexico, as the cartels have become far too powerful as a result of Mexico’s former president Felipe Calderón’s ill-advised decision to militarize the drug war. This enabled the drug cartels to arm themselves and acquire more power by murdering and intimidating ordinary citizens, journalists, and public officials.
President Petro has rightly called for Kegseth to be tried by the International Criminal Court, but this is unlikely to happen because Bush and Cheney decided not to sign onto the ICC out of concern American soldiers could be tried for war crimes for illegal acts carried out during the a Iraq war.
The fog of war? And what war is this? The US is not presently at war with any nation or combatants.
Brainfog kegseth, ssecretary of war crimes.

I try to remember to Remind people about the files. You're right. This has distracted from that in a BIG way!

The law is to detain, investigate, and if necessary prosecute. It's not to play Call of Duty and kill noncombatants.
Bingo.
How would THEY know if there was coke in that boat? You can't know by BLOWING IT UP.
I don't think that they knew jack about what was on that boat.

🌟 “The Day the Blue Vans Rolled Through Town” 🌟
In a sunny small town with its sidewalks swept clean,
Where gardens grew bright and the justice was seen,
A rumble rolled in with a growl and a frown—
The day the blue vans
rolled straight through the town.
ICE agents came marching in uniforms tight,
Their badges gleamed silver but their hearts lacked all light.
They questioned the vendors, the kids on their way,
They barked at the elders with rage on display.
They stormed little houses where toddlers were fed,
They frightened young mothers who trembled with dread.
They pushed past the pastors who pleaded, “Not here!”
But ICE kept on roaring through courage and fear.
They shouted at citizens, “Papers! Right now!”
Though many had shown them
a license, a vow.
Birth certificates? Passports? Their truth was ignored—
The cruelty was driven
by Trump’s harshest sword.
They tore into churches where people would hide,
They rattled the rafters, pushed prayer groups aside.
They barged into kitchens where breakfast was made—
Their coldness was something
no town could evade.
But the people rose up with a thunderous will,
Their voices united, determined and still.
The clergy spoke boldly, “Your fear won’t control!
Our duty is justice, our calling is soul!”
Neighbors linked arms in the parks and the square,
Holding candles of courage that lit up the air.
They stood for the families ICE tried to tear down—
A wall made of love
faced those vans in the town.
And the message rang out
through each street, every door:
“No raids in the night!
Not one family more!”
For democracy thrives
when the brave gather round—
To stop fear and cruelty
from crushing our town.

Also, can Trump pardon either civilians found guilty of murder in this scenario or military found guilty of war crimes?

Does cocaine float?! Great articulation of administration crimes.
