Good news is, private media has really stepped to expose how bias corporate media is and millions now know that and are now better informed with the truth from sources like this.

My fears are:

1. These private platforms, YouTube and Substack will be purchased by zillionaires and censored like TikTok.

2. AI becomes so dominate due to trumps desire to allow no regulation of its development that media becomes mostly fake and furthers conspiracy.

3. When democrats take power back, we fail to elect the lawmakers that are willing to "FIX" all the loopholes and GOP gerrymandering leading to yet another cycle of them coming right back into power and doing this all again.

4. We can't do this all fast enough to prevent a nuclear war.

AI is already flooding You Tube with purloined content from other, well established creators. Rick Wilson of The Lincoln Project fame is fighting such a battle now as a matter of fact. He’s asking his subscribers to report the AI mess that’s going out with his face on it. It might help if we all did the same when we run across AI generated content

As for the private platforms you cite, I’m wondering the same thing. At this point, nothing would surprise me.

I will never understand public figures who go along with the evil rather than call it out. They know that what they are promoting is wrong, yet they continue with the back slapping and mealy mouthed praise of an evil leader. Have they no conscience? I wonder how they can sleep at night, knowing they are betraying their constituents.

One of those commentators who I absolutely despise is Scott Jennings on CNN. He has $$$ in his eyes as I watch him. Have to turn him off when he's on. His words are Dangerous! Great article MT. 👏

I wish you would name that pundit, but I guess the point is that that person is just one example and that there are so many others.

Fortunately, those who fought for our country's liberation from Britain were not cowards. Those who fought for the North (and South, to be fair) were not cowards. Nor were those who fought for our country in the two big world wars.

Yet, those who are elected by and paid for by the people are cowards. Afraid of Truth Social posts. Afraid of threats. Afraid they will lose their cushy jobs.

We heard the cry for "country over party," particularly after January 6th. Clearly, that's not the case for the MAGA Republicans, regardless of their private thoughts. If it was, they would do the right thing and stand up.

Our job, going forward, is to remove all those "lawmakers" who work toward their own ends. We need to fill the halls of Congress with those who work for ALL Americans.

I agree wholeheartedly with Sharon, Mark and Miles, (of course), and would add:

To know right from wrong, but to select the morally-corrupt path defies both patriotism and decency, and replaces it with selfishness and cowardice. Maybe we need more leaders who look at the big picture and have "nothing to lose," and/or pride their integrity above perceived self interest: leaders like Senator Mark Kelly, for example. Maybe that is why the "No Kings" events produced such broad participation--many senior citizens, like myself, said "$&#*! this, it is time to STAND for something bigger than ourselves." After all, we were raised by the Greatest Generation, who taught us that greatness was never associated with avarice.

It's the money. As Bongino said, before I was paid for "my opinions" now I'm paid for facts. Marjory Taylor Green made $millions deriding others, lying to the American people. Now she wants to run for a state-wide position, so she's going to ride the anti-Trump - MAGA movement and make $millions more.

Conscience. Knowledge held in common. You or someone you know has knowledge of a crime.

Coward. One without heart. One who will not stand up to ethical, moral responsibilities.

Compromised. Unable to function optimally.

Self loathing. All these weird sycophants around this moral dump site administration.

British sociologist Michael Mann wrote a detailed assessment of the perpetrators of Nazism who were put on trial at Nuremberg and found they fell into 6 categories of personality/motivation. One of those categories were the opportunists, and that is where most of the hypocritical (but ambitious) pundits would fall. Some, like the viciously anti-semitic propagandist and publisher Julius Streicher (not an opportunist but a true ideologue/fanatical believer), had never personally ordered anyone killed. He was found guilty of war crimes nevertheless, and was hanged.

As for your assessment that "the true MAGA" have personalities that are more "genuine & kind" we each should remember that these are followers who are tolerating, buying into, looking for, excusing, repeating the language of deep propaganda (the dehumanization, the scapegoating and the stereotyping, i.e. trash talk) that created a climate in Germany and beyond where eliminationist violence could flourish. My message to them: "If you are good with the way your president and his cronies & media allies trash talk, then I am not good with you," even if they try to come across as "nice" or "good-hearted". We, too, personally play the role of enablers when we remain silent in the face of neighbors, family & "friends" who trash talk.

The ideological engine behind MAGA is “the end justifies the means.” But there are levels within that paradigm: Some proponents are corporate and sincere in their mission, i.e., they’re doing it “for the greater good.” Others, as mentioned in Miles’ article, are doing it for self preservation. The most egregious applications of this belief system (justifying immoral means) are by those that seek to profit from their deception. And, yes, this modus vivendi is contagious.

I enjoyed your show today (Monday 12/8). But I still have issues with the 5 p.m. start time. Many other Substack content providers do live shows at or near that time. Most Defiance people will stick with you, of course, but you’ll be cannibalizing others from the Resistance, to some extent. In the morning, in contrast, there’s not much going on. For me, and maybe for others, you played the role Morning Joe used to play, when I could still tolerate Joe: I’d wake up, get some coffee, and listen to your show. It was a great way to start my day, and I’ll miss it.

Hey Miles: next time you go on one of those shows with a POS like that guy, record him with your phone during the commercial break, then when he does his flop-flip, call him out on it and play the recording. Destroy him. It's nothing these scum don't thoroughly deserve. Nail every last one of the traitors.
