Two minutes before we went live, the Supreme Court handed Trump an interim victory in his push to restrict mail-in voting ahead of the midterms. So naturally, our plans for the show changed pretty quickly.
Attorney and constitutional-law educator Bryan Randolph (@brynodc) joined us on the fly to explain what this ruling means for November, including an important catch: Trump still has another court order standing in his way.
Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson, meanwhile, is warning that SCOTUS has injected “chaos and uncertainty” into the midterms. No argument from us.
Then we switched gears to talk about Trump’s latest plan to lower beef prices, which American cattle ranchers seem to think is a bunch of bull. And turns out, it wasn’t such a big switch after all, because Trump’s attempt to take over everything is all part and parcel of the same dictatorial (and kind of commie) BS.
Georgia cattle rancher and Democratic candidate for Congress Shawn Harris (@shawnforgeorgia) joined us to explain why bringing in 300,000 metric tons of discounted foreign beef might hurt American ranchers a whole lot more than it helps Americans at the grocery store.
