Every accusation is a confession. Along with, deny, deflect, distract, this is Trump’s MO.

This was so well-written and so powerful, Miles, and sadly all true.

It’s striking how today’s pieces seem to complement each other — your deep dive into Trump’s civil service purge and the reflection I shared on the machine behind him. Together they tell the fuller story.

Thanks Miles for being so truthful and blunt about what Trump has done already and what he’s planning to do going forward. Like your Anonymous piece and your book it’s both frightening as well as terrifying.

Sounds like we the people will not be able to stop it. I’m getting depressed. This is one frightening piece Miles. Think I’ll take another break for a little while.

Miles, I read everything you post knowing that you speak TRUTH! It ties my guts into a knot knowing that the vastness of the rot in our nation will outlive this 88 year old lady. I weep for my grandchildren who face a fight unlike my generation faced.

As they say, every accusation made by Dear Leader. He and his cronies are the real deep state.

Omg, a civilization modeled after an ignoramus. That someone so tasteless and boorish is redoing my country is like living in a South Park episode. What are we doing? If a sniper had a bead on Trump, whose finger was headed for the red button, would our sharpshooter stand down because it would be illegal to pull the trigger? Why are we operating by the rules of law-abiding societies when Trump isn't playing by the rules?

As horrifyingly abrupt as the reality you paint is, Miles, I wonder if there's one wild card that hasn't played out yet.

trump has conned so much of the Country that is soon going to find that out. I suspect a small (?) portion of them will stay loyal. But for many of the others, when they suffer from the regime's cumulative effects and the impacts get personal, might a large percentage of them realize they've been had, be mad as hell about it, and join the rest of us in resisting? Can we build the numbers and stamina to show the regime--and the rest of the world--that we really don't do kings in this Country. As he loses support, wouldn't that come from within as well as the outside?

With the Rs and majority "Supreme" court complicit in the takeover, I can only hope that We the People can come together, truly drain the disgusting swamp he's put in place, and build a new democracy based on what we've learned.

(I guess I have to believe this to put one foot in front of the other each day...)
