Moreover, his strategy is simple: divide and conquer. Notice how even Vance is claiming that democrats are a greater threat to this nation than Russia; which isn’t surprising since this administration has gutted all of our intelligence agencies and removed our best and brightest China and Russian experts. Even the State Department hasn’t been spared; firing over 1,500 diplomats.
In addition, it appears he’s gearing up to invade other nations in the region using narco terrorism (drug trafficking) to invade Venezuela and apply pressure on Canada and Mexico. Another distraction which is giving the MSM whiplash, not that they don’t deserve it; they’re either complicit or plain greedy; feel free to pick your poison.
Moreover, this could be part of the “three spheres of influence” campaign by the leading authoritarian dictators: Putin, Trump and Xi, in order to split the world in three: East, West, and the Americas; all under complete authoritarian rule (theoretical).
Bottom line, no matter how you slice, it all spells DOOM; and unless we miraculously win the midterms, I’m not sure anything can derail this slow motion coup, happening in real-time! IMHO…:)

In my “bubble” of relatives, friends, co-workers and fellow weekly protesters, I find it very difficult to understand how some friends, relatives and co-workers are blind, unbothered and quite reluctant to talk about what has happened and is happening in our government right now. However, my fellow protesters are crystal clear on all of it and willing to stand up for Democracy. I can relate to them and to all who write, podcast and televise their loyalty. Bravo!!!

I watched a documentary about the Nazi takeover in Germany & you'd swear that Russell Vought & his henchman watched it & decided that they could the same thing. The documentary was produced in 2024 so it is pretty much like a premonition of what will happen, soon & often.

What better way to start that then by sending racist southerners to a northern city, & my guess is that they will start with the people of color neighborhoods & certainly the people rounded up as criminals will not be the lily white criminals, oh maybe a few so that they can say that they are not racially motivated but c'mon, we know what they want to do.

Stop assuming all Texans are racists. Texas is a big place, about the same size as France, and it's very different in all its parts. It has five regions; East Texas, South Texas, Central Texas, North Texas, the Panhandle. Only East Texas is culturally similar to the Deep South, because it was taken over by enslavers who force marched enslaved people there after the Civil War, and set up cotton plantations in the fertile Blackland prairie. The other regions in Texas are culturally very different. For example, South Texas and the entire Rio Grande Valley is primarily Hispanic, where a lot of landowners have been there for over 400 years as the Six Flags cycled over Texas. Central Texas is dominated by ethnic Germans and other Eastern Europeans, especially Czechs, who voted against secession prior to the Civil War. West Texas is cattle country and oil country, and it's a whole lot of territory with not many people in it. The East-West divide, aka the Balcones Escarpment, runs through the middle of the state, splitting Dallas from Ft. Worth, and culturally splitting tolerant western Texans from racist East Texans. Five of the top 15 largest cities in the country are in Texas, and two, Houston and San Antonio, are in the top five. These cities are just as diverse, and no more racist than any of the other major metro areas in the US. If anything, the Texas National Guard is going to be more tolerant, and slower to anger than, for example, people from the Northeast. Abbott has a history of abusing the Texas National Guard for a lot of dumb political stunts, and I can tell you for sure, they don't like it.

It's just like all California are not liberal. I lived in the California central valley for 30; years &:was in the definite minority there!
But that proves that diversity is everywhere. And that it is very important to the make up of the country. I do hesitate to use the term "our country":because I have no Native American ancestry. I'm a transplant going back a couple of generations from Britain & Eastern Europe. It's only our country because of the oppression of Native Americans.

I know from long experience that our fellow Americans have trouble seeing Texas as it is, I think partially because it is so big, and so diverse that they can't get a single read on it. In fact, a big chunk of my career consisted of jobs in which my primary purpose was to be a translator in dealings with Texas state government officials because my northern employers felt clueless and mystified trying to do business in Texas. LOL. This is why Texans say of Texas, "It's a whole other country," which is mostly an allusion to the fact that Texas is the only state to have actually been an independent country, but also to the fact that it is not like anywhere else. But it's also true that Texas is much more mainstream American now than it used to be. And if anyone wants to do business in Texas nowadays, they just need to bring cash and prepare to bribe the corrupt faux Christian evangelical grifters running the state.
