I think there are two types of trump supporters; First, those who get all their news and establish their beliefs based on what they see and hear on bias media like fox Newsmax and others and are simply too lazy to do a little research to verify any of it. The second are those who are racist, selfish, bitter and have no empathy for others and until it affects them they just don't care. the 1st group is like people who claim ‘ignorance of the law’ as a defense, and so they claim ignorance of what trump is doing as their defense…..but no individual is an island, and with social media, there are numerous ways that feeds will deliver examples of the way trump speaks about people, demeans women, racial slurs against minorities etc his actual words from actual videos….they cannot claim ignorance. they are making a decision to believe one source over the other. making a choice is an active process, so they are actively denying what they see and hear because it doesn’t suit their preferred perspective of ‘others’ as well as their preferred perspective of ‘dictator trump’ who they willingly reimagine as ‘savior trump’. it sure is a ‘softer’ approach to being just like the racist, selfish, bigoted…people of group 2… but in the end it is so similar that it can almost be the same….
And...there are some who continue to say that Trump is not a Russian asset. The fact that this continues to be ignored tells me that Trump is not the only one in Russia's "basket". I think it's a big basket, and it includes not only politicians but members of the MSM as well.

Every time I read about how destructive trump is in any numbe of arenas, I get incensed that the Republicans in Congress are complicit and enabling him. That they could shut him down any of these dog-year days we've been living in, but don't, is so maddening.
I take your insight very seriously. I hate what trump is doing, and am exponentially more pissed that Congress is allowing it. Who could blame our allies for making the moves they are--and will continue to do? That 'our allies' in Congress are lock-step with trump is absolutely sickening.
I am hoping that Europe will find the strength to form solid bonds between their nations. I want Europe to become strong enough to push back against Russia. But we are in a world of hurt.
