Historians of the future will also write about how completely and totally Republican Party leaders abdicated their constitutional duties, and how the Grand Old Party of Honest Abe Lincoln mutated into the (lower case gop) gutless obsequious puppets of pathological liar Donald Trump.

Pam Bondi hardly seems smart enough or competent enough to come up with these investigations on her own. Not that the president is smart or competent. But his pathology causes him to seek revenge for any slight. Like you, I wonder how many people are paying attention to the larger issue. I’m well aware of it because I get most of my news from independent media. I am constantly recommending Substack (and specific writers) to others and restacking critical pieces. I also share information on social media and talk with people - in person! I am hoping that, if enough of us keep doing this, the full extent of the rot will be exposed.

can one out-trump him by using his usual billionaire legal approach of deny/delay/depose to a steroidal level?

a maasive class action law suit against him, the one for bondi, and one for patel, where they are using tax payer funds for personal use? we'll need to get as many non-trump billionaires included to help fund the legal action....and depose the hell out of the 3+ criminals just the way he does to everyone.... GIVE THEM A HORRENDOUS TASTE OF THEIR OWN MEDICINE...

With so many deserving people having their begging bowls out, a criterion I use, so I don't break my bank, is first and foremost to support people like Miles, who I am so grateful to for so courageously defying Trump.

Should both houses of Congress move forward with releasing all the files, I have to wonder whether Trump will change his mind again and veto it. Such a move, I think, would be veto proof.

It continues to astound me that Congress does NOTHING about what are clearly Trump's obviously illegal actions. They weren’t hired by us to be yes-men/women, they were hired to do their job for the country.

While vote to release the files from the House seem certain, I've not hear such certainties in regard to the Senate. Then, of course, is the possibility of veto action as well as the possibilities that files are withheld because they are part of the current Democrat-focused "investigation."

It can't be clearer that our votes matter.

A critical point that is being overlooked: what future history says, depends on who writes the history. If Trump succeeds in his efforts to install his dictatorship, history will record that he was the greatest president ever, the 2020 election was stolen, etc. For reference, Look at the current history of Russia, as written by Vladimir Putin.

Thank you, Miles, for speaking the truth.

Trump is always moving the Overton window (something I recently learned about from Substacker Joyce Vance). I salute those, like you, with the courage to call it out.

So folks best to support Miles and subscribe where you can read the entire article. After reading it, I'm frankly impressed with Trump's plan to open the doors for investigating anyone who dares cross him. Why impressed? It is obvious Trump does not have the mental capacity or patience to hatch such a plan but he must have an army of legal scholars well-versed in finding loopholes to void our constitutional rights. That is scary.

Maybe I’m being naive this morning, but is it possible that Republicans finally see an off ramp to separate from Trump? That would require a spine, of course.
